Don’t Let Communication Issues Affect Your Marriage
Many people believe that communication is only about the words that they say. People have to say a single word to communicate very well. You shouldn’t let nonverbal communication cause too much of a problem in your marriage. If you don’t know much about nonverbal communication, then it may be causing issues in your union without you even knowing about it.
Proper communication is very important to making your marriage a good relationship that you enjoy being in. Whenever you’re sitting down to communicate with your spouse, make sure that you listen closely to whatever they are talking about. Your attention needs to be on your partner not on anything else.
If your partner has a compete with something else while you’re trying to talk, they certainly won’t appreciate it. If they can’t confide in you, then who are they supposed to confide in. Some of the things that will show your spouse that you are indeed paid attention include maintaining eye contact and making physical gestures to illustrate certain points.
You never want to discuss your partners feelings no matter how you feel about them. If you actually pay attention to your partner, you should be able to tell what type of mood they are in. Your partner can let you know what type of mood they are in without uttering a single word.
For example, when your partner is upset about something, you will likely notice them frowning or avoiding eye contact with you. Smiling will indicate that your partner is in a very good mood. If your spouse is in a bad mood, you should try to do something to cheer them up, especially if you’re the one that caused it.
Touch is also important as far as nonverbal communication is concerned. People who are married need to touch each other on a regular basis. Touching isn’t just limited to having sex with each other though.
Flirting is also a good idea if you want to remain close with your partner. In the beginning of your relationship, you two likely spent a lot of time flirting with each other. Even if you stay with your partner for years and years, you should never stop flirting with them since it will help keep you two close.
Communication skills will a long way towards making your marriage a success. Communication doesn’t just involve words spoken either. Pay attention to the nonverbal forms of communication that you’re using. Never let any form of communication cause a significant problem in your marriage. Doc No. 34Sdlhgsdl -sds
