The number of people getting married in Las Vegas tops 150,000 every year. What a huge number! that means there are about 410 weddings per day. Some consider getting married in Las Vegas “cheesy” but the weddings still happen in huge numbers.
Getting married in Vegas always used to be thought of as cheesy. Having said this, some celebrities still think it’s a flash place for a wedding. Katie Price recently married Alex Reid while historically Mike Tyson and even others like Jon Bon Jovi who married in Las Vegas in 1989 to Dorothea Hurley. So if the rich and famous can go do it why should it be cheesy for us to do the same thing.
Of course there are other benefits to having a Vegas wedding. Las Vegas weddings are popular for visitors from all over the world, and many people fly there to get married. So, although the number of weddings is going down over all in America, it’s going up in Las Vegas. Even having your wedding in a casino does not seem to be quite so cheesy anymore as some people used to think it was. So why not head off on a Vegas holiday, take your partner and perhaps Las Vegas could be the place that you can both begin your lives as a married couple.
